Thomas Minter, Plant Health Manager at Loma Vista Nursery
Thomas is a graduate of University of Central Missouri with a degree in Horticulture Sciences and Business Management. Thomas is very active in the industry having served as a founding member of the Emerging Leaders of the Western Nursery & Landscape Association, awarded the Emerging Leader Award from the Western Nursery & Landscape Association, nominated for the prestigious Young Grower Award from Grower Talks/The HC Companies, and featured in numerous industry publications. Thomas is currently the Plant Health Manager at Loma Vista Nursery in Ottawa, Kansas, where he is in charge of watering and irrigation systems, pest prevention and management. In his spare time he is taking additional college courses and is passionate about canoeing, camping and working on his 1998 Ford Ranger.

Loma Vista Nursery produces high quality container and field grown plants for retailers, wholesale distributors, and landscapers across the Midwest. We currently grow over 450 varieties of shade and ornamental trees, shrubs, perennials, and ornamental grasses. Founded in 1991 by Mark Clear, LVN is family owned and operated. Our 310 acre container production nursery is located in Ottawa, Kansas, just 40 minutes south of Kansas City. We have over 650 acres of in ground tree production just 20 minutes west of the container nursery in Baldwin City and Willow Springs, Kansas. Loma Vista Nursery also maintains a full service Landscape Distribution Center in Olathe, Kansas, to meet our local customer's needs.
