Jeff Neese, Senior Technical Director of Horticulture at Costa Farms, LLC
Jeff Neese has been a team member of Costa Farms for over eighteen years. During his time with the company, Jeff has served several roles including, Grower, Head Grower, Site Manager, Customer Technical Support, Director of Operations, Director of the Systems Integration Department and, most recently, Senior Technical Director of Horticulture. Jeff has been a student of the “Servant Leadership” school of thought for the past three years.
Jeff says that the most rewarding part of his job is to mentor, teach and coach newer team members so that their experience in our industry is fulfilling. In his free time, Jeff enjoys growing species orchids, taking care of his mini-farm of Avocados, Mamey sapote and other assorted tropical fruit trees and volunteering at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden as a tram driver and tour guide. Jeff shares his life with his husband, Eric and their two Shetland Sheepdogs, Brody and Toro.

Today, Costa Farms is a third generation, family owned business that globally stretches over 4,200 acres and employs 2,800 people. Along with thriving indoor houseplant and bedding plant divisions, Costa Farms operates merchandising and transportation companies as part of its infrastructure, with operations domestically in South Florida and North Carolina, and abroad in the Dominican Republic and Far East. Costa Farms announced that it has acquired Hermann Engelmann Greenhouses, Inc. of Apopka, Fla., a small-foliage grower. Hermann Engelmann Greenhouses has played a role in the indoor houseplant industry for more than 40 years.
