Dr. Jeb Fields is an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist in Commercial Ornamental Horticulture with Louisiana State University Agricultural Center.  
    Jeb serves as the Assistant Research Coordinator of the Hammond Research Station and the Director of the Hammond Trial Gardens. While his research program focuses on environmental nursery production and developing sustainable landscape practices, Jeb’s primary focus is supporting nursery growers through improved soilless substrate science. Jeb has received the Arlene and Joseph Meraux Endowed Professorship in Commercial Horticulture. Jeb is originally from Winter Haven, FL where he was raised rooted in agriculture through his family’s equipment business. Prior to his position with the LSU AgCenter, Jeb received his PhD from Virginia Tech, MS from North Carolina State University, and BS from the University of Florida.
