Session Title: Women in Horticulture – A Powerful, Inspiring Networking Experience

Description: This year is Women in Horticulture at Cultivate – an educational networking event for women in the green industry. Leslie Halleck, of Halleck Horticultural, LLC will kick off the event with a short, high-energy inspirational talk to guide you in bringing your own personal strengths and inner superpowers to the surface. After opening remarks, Halleck will facilitate a panel discussion with the following accomplished women in the green industry:

  • Lisa Minter-Buston is the Manager of Garden Retail at Minter Country Garden of Chilliwack, British Columbia
  • Terri McEnaney is the CEO/Owner of Bailey Nurseries Inc. of St. Paul, MN
  • Leslie Herdon is Vice President of Operations for Greenscape Inc/Franklin Hill Farm Nursery of Holly Springs, NC

Join us to hear the lessons these women have learned as they have navigated their green industry career path.

A portion of all tickets purchased will go to support an HRI horticulture scholarship.

    Lisa Minter-Bustin is manager of Minter Country Garden in Chilliwack, British Columbia. She leads The Country Garden team that sources an astonishing selection of new plants from all over the world, the best quality garden ‘staples’, unique home and garden giftware and a complete range of yard and garden supplies. Lisa has been very involved in the industry having served on several boards and committees. She served on the AmericanHort board of directors and has also served on the ANLA Retail Board, ANLA Management Clinic Programming Committee, and ANLA Convention Committee. She also is a member of one of the largest garden center cooperatives in Canada.
