Dr. Joe Neal
Professor of Weed Science and Extension Specialist at North Carolina State University
Dr. Joseph C. Neal is Professor of Weed Science and Extension Specialist for weed management in landscapes, nursery crops and Christmas tree production in the Department of Horticultural Science, NC State University. He received his Ph.D. in Weed Science from NC State University in 1984. After 12 years at Cornell University, watching weeds freeze in upstate New York, Dr. Neal joined the faculty at NCSU in 1996. His research and extension programs emphasize development of cost-effective weed management solutions for nursery and landscape professionals.
