Janna Beckerman is a professor and extension plant pathologist specializing in diseases of horticultural crops at Purdue University. Her research and extension programs cover everything from apples to hemp to zinnia, and she teaches a graduate level course on “Plant Disease Diagnosis”. Our Educators, Specialists, and volunteers tailor programs at the county level to offer practical, relevant solutions to regional issues and improve the quality of life for current and future generations. The Purdue University Plant and Pest Diagnostic Laboratory works to diagnose plant diseases and identify insects, plants and weeds and other plant and pest problems. This service is provided for the specialists and county extension educators of the Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service and Purdue University's research faculty, staff, and students as well as for private businesses and citizens of Indiana.
