Pat “grew up” in the nursery business, starting as a teenage nursery laborer at Riverfarm of Goshen, Kentucky and working his way up the ladder to become its General Manager. After serving the specimen tree nursery for 29 years, he became a regional sales representative for J. Frank Schmidt & Son Co. in 2020. Based in Goshen, he and his wife, Tammy, own and manage Pat Carey Horticultural Sales.
