Back2Basics: How to Sell Growing Media

In this presentation, we will discuss the different types of growing media products, the inputs used in growing media products, and when/why you should choose one type over another. We will also cover how to understand a consumer growing media label to help you choose the correct product for different gardening activities. The format of this talk will be a powerpoint presentation followed by an open Q&A session, so bring your questions!

                



    Joe Craig, Research Principal at The Scotts Company  
    Joe is a Research Principal in Growing Media at Scotts Miracle-Gro where he develops growing media products, develops research methods, and explores novel substrates for consumer uses. He received his M.S. in Horticulture at The Ohio State University where he studied controlled release fertilizers efficacy on nursery container crop production. Joe has worked for Scotts Miracle-Gro for 29 years developing and supporting various lawn and garden products.
