Calculating Product Cost Based on the Economics of Lean Techniques
Sunday, July 16 • 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Learn how to use lean flow techniques to aid in accurately costing your products. Our speakers will demonstrate how to enhance the precision of your costing methods by utilizing tools to determine how much labor is consumed by each product, the application of overhead based on grow time, as well as material input costs. During the session we will also look at product rationalization and the impact it has on profitability, focusing on bottom line profits, instead of the top line sales.

Managing Perpetual Inventory
Sunday, July 16 • 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Knowing how much inventory you have is critical to sales and operations. Many growers oversell products not knowing they don't have enough inventory, or worse yet they don't sell products based on bad inventory data. In this session, learn how perpetual inventory can help you manage your inventory levels in a fast-paced growing environment and how to prioritize pull locations, ready percentages and ready dates. You will also learn the difference between Available to Ship (ATS) and Available to Promise (ATP) and the FlowVision techniques for managing perpetual inventory.
