This talk will focus on the biology and life cycle of Thrips to assist in the determination of potential IPM strategies for their control in Greenhouse and Nursery settings. We will also review current chemical and biological control opportunities and their potential integration into IPM strategies for control.

This talk will provide an overview of the common disease problems associated with Fall crops such as Mums, Pansy, and Poinsettia, and discuss best management opportunities with current control options for a successful crop cycle.

    Rick Fletcher joined Nufarm Americas in January 2013 in the role of Technical Services Manager for Turf & Ornamentals. He is part of the team responsible for aspects of product research and development and field technical support for the turf and ornamental business development section. Prior to Nufarm, Rick spent 20 years serving as Director of Product Development for Cleary Chemical Corporation. Rick received a Bachelor of Science degree in Plant Science and a Master of Science degree in Agronomy/Plant Physiology from Rutgers University and has worked in the turf and ornamental markets for more than 30 years.
