Michael Frantz is President & CEO of Frantz Wholesale Nursery, LLC. --  His second generation family farm employs over 350 people and is a premier supplier of containerized trees and shrubs to the landscape and retail nursery industry in the Western United States. Frantz Wholesale Nursery, LLC is a leader in conservation practices, including recycling all green waste produced on farm, capture and reuse of over 500,000 gallons of irrigation water per day, and on-farm solar generation that covers 90% of energy demand.

Mr. Frantz is active on local, statewide, and national boards ranging from the nursery industry to public water & power. He is Chair of the Turlock Irrigation District Board of Directors, a publicly owned utility that provides irrigation water and generates & distributes retail electricity to 662 square miles of California’s San Joaquin Valley. He serves as a Director on the boards of the Stanislaus County Farm Bureau, Sustainable Conservation, and Dave Wilson Nursery. Michael Chairs both the San Joaquin River Tributaries Authority and the Advocacy Committee for AmericanHort, a National nursery trade association. He has served for many years on the Nursery Advisory Board for the California Department of Food & Agriculture. Michael is an enthusiastic advocate for agriculture and is a recognized leader in California water policy. His collaborative perspective seeks to balance the needs of farms, communities, & ecosystems to maximize the benefits of California’s limited water supply. Michael is married to Kristy Crow. They have three children, Landon, Braden, and Hailey.

Frantz Wholesale Nursery, LLC is a premier family owned grower of landscape trees, shrubs, groundcovers and grasses. We offer nearly 450 acres of containerized ornamentals, ranging in size from one gallon to 84” box specimens. We work diligently to bring each plant to the marketplace at a competitive price with superior quality as our focus every step of the way. In addition to the landscape basics, we offer Citrus, Fruit trees, topiaries, espaliers, patio trees and a variety of specialty plants. Our diverse base of regular customers span from small independent retailers to large landscape contractors. We primarily ship to Northern California, but during Spring months we have regular trucks in many Western States.
