    Brian Wildeman

    Owner at Wilde Horticulture

Brian Wildeman discovered his love for the outdoors at an early age while helping his grandparents tend to their farm & garden. He attended Purdue University and earned a degree in landscape horticulture with design.

Brian’s style draws inspiration from his wide-ranging experiences, including working in the greenhouses at Purdue, studying abroad in Hannover Germany, and by starting his career in Chicago where he was trained on a multitude of design projects including high end estates, small spaces, rooftops, and public spaces.

He later moved back to his hometown and in 2016 Brian opened Wilde Horticulture, a landscape design-build company that specializes in creating unique, well designed spaces.  Wilde delivers creative solutions for any place or space – inside or outside, large or small, permanent or temporary – and always strives to impress.

Wilde also operates Winnie, Evansville’s first flower truck.  Winnie is a fully restored 1949 Chevy Farm Truck originally purchased in 1950 in Hillsboro, Ohio from Matson Chevrolet.  Winnie is now a mobile flower and plant shop that can be regularly found set up selling at local events or parked in front of local businesses & coffee shops.

Brian is actively involved in the local community and his fresh style, innovative approach and impeccable eye for design have earned him recognition throughout the region.  He was most recently honored as the 2018 Entrenerpuer of the Year by the Southwestern Indiana Chamber of Commerce.

Brian is a native of Evansville, Indiana, where he now resides with his wife, Crystal, two daughters, Adelaide (8) and Marjorie (6) and their two dirt-loving schnauzers, Henry and Belle.

Great landscape design is where beauty & sustainability meet the unexpected.
We see the potential in any space and treat every project as special and unique. That means taking the time to understand your aesthetic and how you want to use the space – then passionately bringing it to fruition. Wilde Horticulture approaches each project by carefully evaluating the overall site and considering the style and look you want to achieve. From commercial and residential landscape design and maintenance to special projects, like event set-ups, seasonal displays and custom art, we have the skills and vision to deliver inspiring spaces. And, we offer conceptual and scaled designs to help you visualize the concept along the way.
