    Matt Nelson

    Senior Vice President at National Interiorscape Network 

    Matt Nelson has been in the horticulture industry for his entire career.  He joined The National Interiorscape Network (NIN) in 2014.  He consults directly with NIN Partners to help them improve their business results through strategic planning, sales and marketing plans, operational reviews, employee recruitment and development, benchmarking and best practices sharing, leadership development and mentoring.  He also creates and delivers original content presentations and workshops at NIN and other industry events.  He assists owners in developing their exit plans, creates business valuations, market and sells horticultural businesses.

    Prior to joining NIN, he spent 15 years with The Brickman Group, exterior landscape contractor, during their rapid growth period managing businesses in Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis.  He spent 14 years with Tropical Plant Rentals/Rentokil in Chicago, St. Louis, Milwaukee and San Francisco. 

    Matt grew up near Milwaukee, WI.  He discovered his passion for horticulture while working for a local truck farm/bedding plant grower.  He attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture.
