Arnold and Peter DeVry joined the family business in 1989 and built their first 1.2-acre greenhouse in Chilliwack, BC. The first official crop grown was Poinsettias, which has remained our speciality crop to this day. During the next 15 years, DeVry grew their greenhouse operation to 13 acres, building a few acres at a time as the demand from customers continued to grow. The core focus became poinsettias during the winter months and geraniums during the spring season.
Nursery grows over 1,000,000 Emerald trees and 250,000 boxwoods.
DeVry Greenhouses is a forward-looking family business that is based in the lower mainland of BC, Canada. The company has locations with a total growing area of 35 acres. We supply a comprehensive range of bedding plant and hanging baskets. We have successfully been growing bedding plants for over 20 years (1989) and are committed to giving the best value, quality and service to ALL of our customers. Our greenhouses are a modern set of glass houses with the latest technology in computer-controlled heating, ventilation & irrigation. With our broad customer base we grow a variety of different packs, pots and containers developed either by ourselves or contracted to suit your individual requirements.
DeVry also owns over 500 acres of fertile nursery land. The Nursery grows over 1,000,000 Emerald trees and 250,000 boxwoods. Each year approximately 250,000 Emeralds and 40,000 Boxwoods are harvested. One of DeVry's strengths is our logistical capabilities as we deliver most of our bedding plants with our own transport team. During the Spring we have a fleet of over 40 semi trailers and 15 five tons.
