David Austin Roses jubilee display wins gold @ Chelsea Flower Show

... A display of roses featuring new ones created to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee has won a gold medal at the Chelsea Flower Show. The exhibit, by Shropshire-based grower David Austin Roses, featured pink-apricot roses named Elizabeth. A spokesperson for the nursery said the team were delighted to win their 26th gold medal.

After surveying 22 earlier studies of deer repellents and then conducting their own controlled study at two different locations, researchers at Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station concluded that egg-based repellents worked better than predator urines and blood-based products. Repellents applied more often were more effective than those applied less frequently.
